The sea is my entire life – a diving story

Before our interview I thought Mario would have talked mostly about his diving records and success in spearfishing. Not just he didn’t celebrate his skills but also he didn’t even wanted to give any numbers.

What’s important” he said “is to keep your passion alive and that doesn’t mean becoming a champion for medals or fame, but just for the love of it

Passion, not competition, should always lead the way. Without passion there’s no love for nature and so the outdoor performance become just an activity.

When Mario dives he become part of life underwater: swimming next to fishes and living with them in the submarine world.

The silence he hear going down, in the deep blue, it can be so strong to become almost unbearable.
